Nestled in the charming Glen Park neighborhood of San Francisco, Pebbles Cafe is a cozy gem that brings authentic Brazilian flavors to your breakfast and sandwich cravings with an inviting, neighborhood café vibe. This delightful spot effortlessly blends the warmth of a family-run business with vibrant Brazilian cuisine, creating a sanctuary for food lovers seeking both comfort and culinary adventure.
Step inside Pebbles Cafe and you instantly feel welcomed by its intimate, cozy ambiance—a perfect spot to unwind with a carefully crafted cup of coffee or to savor a refreshing açai bowl after a morning stroll. The aromas of freshly baked Pão de Queijo (Brazilian cheese bread) greet you warmly, their chewy, pillowy texture reminiscent of mochi, as one delighted customer described. This gluten-free specialty is not only a standout but emblematic of the authentic Brazilian experience Pebbles delivers.
The menu is a beautifully curated balance of traditional Brazilian cuisine and casual breakfast and lunch favorites. Their Neymars Açai Bowl bursts with fresh, vibrant flavors and perfect creaminess, making it a must-try for açai enthusiasts. Complementing this is their selection of savory pies like the Vegetarian Empada—a rich, flaky Brazilian pie filled with heart of palm, tomatoes, and corn in a luscious cream sauce—and the Empada with chicken, which offers a comforting yet exotic twist on hearty pies. For those craving hand-held delights, the Kibe, ground beef mixed with cracked wheat, fresh mint, and spices, offers a savory bite that lingers in memory.
Sandwich lovers are equally well accommodated, with options such as the surprisingly toasted Turkey Sandwich and the classic BLT, both crafted with care to balance fresh ingredients and textures beautifully. The Club Sandwich, a customer favorite, is perfect for a satisfying midday meal wrapped in a friendly atmosphere.
Complementing the food is a thoughtfully designed coffee menu featuring rich, smooth espressos and creamy lattes alongside more unique offerings like the warming Chaga Mushroom Beverage. This mushroom-based hot drink, available with or without caffeine, introduces a mellow earthiness that’s both soothing and invigorating, as one first-time sipper enthusiastically experienced. Pair your meal or snack with fresh-pressed juices like guava or passion fruit for a sweet, tropical lift.
What truly makes Pebbles Cafe stand out is its personable, attentive staff, creating a warm and inviting environment that feels like a home away from home. Customers frequently highlight the friendly neighborhood spirit, the authentic taste of fresh homemade sauces such as Claud's 9 Malagueta Pepper Hot Sauce, and the genuine care put into every dish and drink.
Whether you’re seeking a nourishing breakfast bowl, a quick yet hearty sandwich, or an authentic taste of Brazilian cuisine in an unpretentious setting, Pebbles Cafe delivers with passion and heart. It’s a delightful stop that leaves you feeling nourished, welcomed, and curious for your next visit.

I love their coffee and gluten free cheese bread (it's chewy like mochi!). Very cozy and warm vibe :)
Nothing like the neighborhood feel of this friendly, family-run spot in Glen Park! Excellent, authentic Brazilian food, from fresh Açai bowls to made-from-scratch Pão de Queijo and more, you can't go wrong at Pebbles Cafe. Little known secret: they also make superb hot sauces!
We live their amazing acai bowls and subs. Very friendly staff
This place is wonderful. Food is reasonably priced given today’s economy, and the person at the register was very nice. I had a Medium Latté and a Turkey sandwhich. I spent around $15 (with tip). Sandwich was phenomenal; the bread was toasted which was unexpected and a pleasant surprise. The latté uses a very neutral bean; not floral nor fruity, but not on the other end of the flavor note extreme. The barista/register man didn’t burn the espresso too, which is always nice. Worth every penny.
Pebbles Cafe is located across from the Bart Glen Park train station. Pebbles Cafe is also located in the cute and quaint neighborhood called Glen Park. My experience eating lunch and drinking CHAGA at Pebbles Cafe was very positive. My introduction to CHAGA was a pleasant surprise. CHAGA is a hot mushroom beverage that can be ordered with or without caffeine. I chose no caffeine. According to the barista, a cup of CHAGA has 1104 Orac per gram. A nuclear immune booster. While enjoying lunch at Pebbles Cafe, I ordered a SFIHA. This empanada was filled with potatoes, ground beef, onions, and cilantro. This meal is served with a light chipotle sauce. I give the SFIHA 5 stars. The interior seating has 5 tables and chairs on the sidewalk for lounging. I highly recommend a visit. The CHAGA is 10 stars.
This was the most memorable coffee of my San Francisco trip. While staying in Glen Park neighborhood in a friend's house, the owner of this cafe knew my coffee order by memory after two days. I looked forward to that cup of coffee every day because it was perfectly roasted and brewed.
Very nice gluten free breakfast sandwich and the best Pão de Queijo (gluten free Brazilian cheese bread)I have ever had. In think they make it from scratch. I also liked the friendly vibe of the owner and employees.
